Flask vs Django

Hello everyone!

We recently launched a new section of our site – Versus!

As you can imagine, we compare several different components of programming:

  • Programming Languages
  • Database
  • Frameworks
  • IDE’s
  • and more!

Our approach is to give an unbiased, informative article describing the pros/cons, history, companies using each and how the the subject is being applied.

Examples of our initial articles are below:

React vs AngularJS – If you’ve always been curious about React vs Angular then you will want to read this article because I am going to explain the similarities, differences, pros and cons about React and Angular.

PHP vs Javascript – Javascript is over 24 years old but it is still used in today’s websites because it allows developers to add interactive features that change and update a web page without reloading a copy of the web page from the server. PHP on the other hand is a server-side programming language which runs on the server instead of on the client-side. PHP vs Javascript compares the commonalities between the two languages but it is not fair to compare the two as they both have different purposes for website development.

R vs Python: For Statistics and Data Science in 2020 – When it comes to choosing programming languages for data science, R vs Python are the two most popular choices that data scientists tend to gravitate towards.

MySQL vs PostgreSQL – When it comes to choosing a database for your web application, most tech professionals will compare MySQL vs Postgres. MySQL can be found in almost every industry out there. It is used in aerospace and defence companies such as Boeing, NASA, Lockheed Martin and even the US Navy. It is trusted in bank applications at Bank of America, Citibank, U.S. Bancorp and Square. To date, there are over 158,856 companies using MySQL.

Cassandra vs Mongodb – Cassandra vs MongoDB in 2020 is an in depth comparison of two of the most popular NoSQL databases that are so similar in functionality yet so different under the hood. Both are schema-less and promote a flexible data model meaning that you can add entities and attributes on the go. And when it comes to distributed, both Cassandra and MongoDB are ready to take on the world by allowing you to put data anywhere in the world.
